As an experiment, I’ve taken one-shot samples from my drum kit, just to learn how the recording and post-processing is being done.
I want to share the results here with you! The samples are free to be used.

- TOP MIC: Beyerdynamic M160 double ribbon(!) mic
- BOTTOM MIC: Shure SM57 dynamic mic
- SIDE MIC: Shure Beta 98H clip on mic (did not make it into the mix)
I’ve recorded the mics to different channels, then adjusted the recordings to resolve phasing issues by flipping the phase of one track. Nothing else has been applied (EQ, reverb, etc.). I aimed for a channel level of around -6dB and -12db for every element, but don’t guarantee it for every sample, because the hits are done at different strenths.
